Which one is better? Comparing Linkedin Learning, Pluralsight, Udemy and Coursera
Which one is better?
I have been using all of these. Plus Alison. From all of these, I have made the least use of Udemy.
I would recommend a mix with LinkedIn Learning and Pluralsight together. Hard to separate.
LinkedIn Learning excels in providing you with the soft skills you need in the career path, while of course, it can also maintain your technical skills up-to-date. Most of the time, courses provide quick and functional insights on the matter of research. Although, even if LinkedIn Learning recommends you “learning paths”, you will find it hard (dare to say impossible) to cover a whole subject by using LinkedIn Learning only.

Pluralsight is tremendous in covering the pinpoint technical aspects of how to do stuff, both at a narrow level (via individual courses) and a large level (via their curated technical paths). Although, Pluralsight does not take you from the beginner level, ground-up. Even if it says so. Pluralsight is great as long you already know a bit the pieces of the puzzle. It is great in structuring the subjects and it is offering great ways to test your applicable knowledge (AI-driven testing)

Coursera provides you with the foundations on the given subject, better than Linkedin Learning and Pluralsight, but with a trade-off concerning the practical application. It lacks step by step examples. While it is great in structuring and covering the theoretical aspects, I would use Coursera as a primary tool for online learning only if I had an extended amount of time to switch back and forth with other supplementary materials.

Udemy can be associated with YouTube due to the broad range of quality associated with the presented material. Lots of quantity, you will find here learning materials for new and rare technologies alike. But you need to assess with care the quality and the structure of the material before investing time and money in it. It happened to me that after starting to learn, I realized that at some point in following the courses, I was not able to continue due to the aforementioned aspects.
